Since its foundation in 1995, SAWIKO has grown into a leading supplier of premium accessories for recreational vehicles throughout Europe. In 2012, the company became a wholly owned AL-KO subsidiary.

    Who is behind it?

    SAWIKO has evolved from a small four-person operation into a company with several dozen employees. Thanks to its Europe-wide dealer network, the company based in Lower Saxony now operates across all major European caravaning markets, supporting the AL-KO VT Group with its expertise in the Aftermarket sector. Trust and quality play a leading role in everything they do.

    SAWIKO also places the utmost importance on safety and comfort when it comes to its innovative premium accessories for motorhomes. In addition to selected products from the Italian AL-KO subsidiary CBE in the area of solar and energy management, the company’s product portfolio especially includes premium accessories such as high-quality towbars, rear carriers, and motorbike loading aids.

    Innovative premium accessory: motorbike loading aid

    Safe loading is essential. Usually, loading a motorbike onto a trailer requires at least two people and considerable physical effort. To save time and energy, SAWIKO‘s motorbike and scooter loading aid can be used.

    With traditional loading systems, you first have to push the machine up onto the platform before pulling it fully onto the trailer. This is not only more laborious, but also more dangerous compared to the option from SAWIKO.

    The motorbike loading aid offers the major advantage of ground-level loading. Simply push the front wheel into the front wheel chock on the carriage. Once the tyre is fully on the carriage, the motorbike is secured at the front.

    Once the front wheel is safely secured on the ground, the motorbike can easily be pulled into the desired position using a smooth-running manual cable winch or electric cable winch. After securing the rear, the loading process is complete. The motorbike loading aid can be used on many different trailers or vehicles and is extremely versatile. Motorbikes and similar vehicles can therefore be loaded into the rear garage of a motorhome, onto an enclosed trailer, into a panel van or onto a pick-up. For further customisation, every customer can configure the motorbike loading aid to their own requirements and dimensions.

    Optimal customer service as a top priority

    Through its own customer centres in cooperation with AL-KO VT in Germany, the Netherlands, France and Italy, SAWIKO ensures optimum customer service. Of particular note is the location in Neuenkirchen-Vörden. Direct customer feedback allows OEM, dealer and consumer requirements to be analysed early and translated into innovative, market-focused products and services. The expert workshop teams in the AL-KO VT customer centres also provide high-quality service for end customers at five further locations.

    AL-KO VT plans to open a customer centre in the UK in 2022. The location is expected to be in Lancashire.
