    Which support system is right for my motorhome?

    The choice of the right system depends on vehicle type, permissible gross weight, and the desired level of operating comfort. Hydraulic levelling support systems level the motorhome automatically, while mechanical supports are manually operated using a crank and reliably stabilise the vehicle.

    • HY4: for light to medium-sized motorhomes based on Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën BoxerJumper, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, VW Crafter or MAN TGE; for vehicles with a permissible gross mass of up to 6 t; fully automatic levelling with four decentralised hydraulic pump units.
    • HY2: for vehicles with a permissible gross mass of up to 6 t; a cost-effective alternative to the HY4 with two supports only – ideal for first-time users of hydraulic systems. This lightweight system weighs just 34 kg and can be upgraded to HY4 at a later date.
    • LevelM Pro: for light to medium-sized motorhomes based on Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit or Iveco Daily; for vehicles with a permissible gross mass of up to 6 t; ideal where a low system weight, quiet operation and gentle levelling are important.
    • LevelM Pro 4x4: the off-road solution for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 4x4 Van Chassis with a permissible gross mass of up to 4.25 t. The system offers a minimum ground clearance of 280 mm.
    • LevelM: the first choice for heavy or special motorhomes. The system covers a wide range of vehicle classes from 3.5 to 22 t permissible gross mass.
    • ClickFix: suitable if you want to stabilise your motorhome cost-effectively without hydraulics. An AL-KO VT chassis or a suitable frame extension is required.

    Hydraulic levelling supports for motorhomes

    Fully automatic level alignment at the touch of a button

    Hydraulic levelling support systems align your motorhome quickly, precisely and with no physical effort. Once parked, the supports are conveniently extended at the touch of a button. Sensors detect the vehicle’s position, while the control unit compensates for uneven ground and slopes, distributing the load evenly across each support.
    The result is a stable, level parking position for your motorhome with significantly fewer rocking and swaying movements. This noticeably increases comfort inside the vehicle, when sleeping, cooking or moving around. Doors, drawers and household appliances can also be used more reliably in a level position.

     

    HY4: Four supports with decentralised pump units

    HY4 fully automatically levels approved motorhomes up to 6 t in about one minute. Each of the four supports has its own pump unit mounted directly to the chassis, eliminating the need for long hydraulic lines and hydraulic components inside the vehicle.

    The system is available for vehicles with AL-KO VT chassis as well as selected models based on Ducato, Jumper, Boxer and Sprinter. With the optional 2LINK Box, HY4 can be operated via app. The overall vehicle weight and individual axle loads can also be displayed. Should you change vehicles, HY4 can generally be transferred, provided your new vehicle is compatible.

    HY2: Two supports for an introduction to hydraulics

    HY2 is suitable for motorhomes up to 6 t when a stable parking position is more important than fully automated four-point levelling. Two hydraulic supports are automatically extended at the front or rear axle. Their position can then be manually adjusted and saved in a memory slot.

    At only around 34 kg, HY2 places little demand on your remaining payload. If your requirements increase, the system can be upgraded to HY4 at any time.

    LevelM Pro: Light, quiet and especially gentle

    LevelM Pro fully automatically levels light to medium-sized motorhomes up to 6 t. The system weighs from 56 kg and works with two independent brushless motors, resulting in quiet, precise levelling with minimal effect on the chassis.

    Two individual positions, such as for sleeping or cooking, can also be saved. A weighing function for axle load and total weight is available. LevelM Pro requires a released base vehicle. Final compatibility must be confirmed before ordering.

    LevelM Pro 4x4: For off-road vehicles

    LevelM Pro 4x4 is available exclusively for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 4x4 Van Chassis up to 4.25 t. Extra-long hydraulic cylinders provide a minimum ground clearance of 280 mm, helping the vehicle retain off-road capability even away from paved sites.

    This 56 kg system levels the vehicle fully automatically and can save up to three individual positions. An optional weighing function is available.

    LevelM: For heavy and special motorhomes

    LevelM is designed for a wide range of vehicle types and high weight classes up to 22 t. Four hydraulic cylinders align the motorhome fully automatically. You can also save an individual position for sleeping comfort or tank emptying.

    The system can be adapted to different installation scenarios. It is also suitable for vehicles with two- or four-line full air suspension. The air bellows can be automatically lowered before levelling.

    Mechanical levelling supports for motorhomes

    Simple, robust and reliable

    Mechanical levelling supports are a proven way to reliably stabilise your motorhome at the campsite. They are manually extended using a hand crank and are especially suitable for travellers who value straightforward technology, easy handling and minimal maintenance. As neither hydraulics nor electronics are involved, the supports are independent of the on-board power supply.

    On firm or slightly uneven ground such as asphalt, gravel or grass, mechanical levelling supports significantly reduce rocking and swaying. This ensures the motorhome remains steady when people move, sleep or cook inside. The supports are primarily intended for stabilisation. Larger height differences or slopes are usually compensated using levelling ramps.

    The AL-KO VT ClickFix levelling supports are made of lightweight yet robust aluminium. They are easy to use and lock securely in place for travel. An integrated swing-away mechanism provides extra protection: if you accidentally set off with the supports extended, they can swing forwards or backwards out of the way, minimising potential damage to the vehicle and support system.

    Weight class alone is not enough when selecting a system. Chassis, year of manufacture, wheelbase, drive type, any existing add-on parts and available installation space must all be suitable.

    Hydraulic levelling support systems align the motorhome automatically or semi-automatically, offering a high level of user comfort. Mechanical supports are manually operated by hand crank and are mainly used to stabilise the vehicle on firm surfaces. Which solution is more suitable depends on vehicle type, level of comfort desired, and intended use.

    Hydraulic levelling support systems precisely compensate for uneven ground and slopes. Mechanical supports stabilise the vehicle but are not primarily intended for fully automatic levelling.

    Hydraulic levelling support systems are designed to minimise any impact on ground clearance during travel. Special systems such as the off-road LevelM Pro 4x4 variant are even specifically designed to offer high ground clearance. Mechanical supports are fully retracted for driving, ensuring sufficient distance to the ground.

    HY2 is suitable if you wish to hydraulically support the front or rear axle and save weight. For fully automatic, horizontal levelling, you require a system with four supports, such as HY4, LevelM Pro or LevelM.

    Many hydraulic and mechanical support systems can be retrofitted. Vehicle approval, chassis, permissible gross weight and available mounting points are crucial. Be sure to have these checked before ordering.

    Modern hydraulic levelling support systems are generally low-maintenance and designed for long-term use. Mechanical supports feature simple technology and also require only minimal maintenance.

    LevelM is designed for high weight classes and a wide range of vehicle types. The current product configuration covers up to 22 t permissible gross weight. Confirmation of vehicle approval and the specific installation situation must be obtained from a specialist company.

     

    LevelM Pro 4x4 is designed for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 4x4 Van Chassis up to 4.25 t. For other Sprinter versions, options include HY4, LevelM Pro or LevelM depending on the chassis. The exact system depends on vehicle configuration and available installation space.
