Review: Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2021

Business is booming in the camping sector: In 2021, the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf lived up to its status as the world’s largest exhibition for caravanning, even in this exceptional year, and ended with a remarkable number of visitors: 185,000 people visited over the ten days of the show to find out about innovations and accessories for their dream caravan.

Large crowds at the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group stand

The high visitor numbers also meant large crowds at the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group stand. “We presented ourselves as a highly capable company that embodies customer focus with pioneering technology and service expertise, radiating energy. Our exhibition stand was an attractive centre of communication for our customers and the sector. We are delighted with the high level of interest in the new chassis and accessories from our brands, AL-KO VT, E&P, SAWIKO as well as Nordelettronica and CBE,” summarises Dr Timo Schwickart, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group, regarding the exhibition’s success.

In the levelling support system sector, E&P’s intelligent control electronics impressed visitors. Levelling a motorhome automatically, quickly and easily is possible using the hydraulic LevelM levelling system. The E&P LevelC levelling system gets the caravan level at the touch of a button in no more than 120 seconds. Nordelettronica presented its product line of electronic devices such as battery chargers and control panels at the stand. CBE showcased its new CL-BUS SYSTEM at the Caravan Salon, delivering enhanced connectivity and maximum freedom in the motorhome. Additionally, the AL-KO VT brand Aguti featured its innovative seat-bed at the stand. With individually and steplessly adjustable backrests and belt buckles that disappear under the seat, it guarantees the highest (sleeping) comfort.

SAWIKO – Premium accessories for recreational vehicles

AL-KO VT brand SAWIKO thrilled visitors

The KAWA II platform load-carrier features a variable platform design and can be perfectly adapted to individual needs. Transporting scooters, up to three bicycles or e-bikes is no problem.

The VARIO bicycle and scooter load-carrier impresses with its low unladen weight of around 29 kilograms and a payload of up to 150 kilograms. It also offers variable loading depth and can be folded up to save space in just a few simple steps.

SAWIKO has developed the VELO III specifically for e-bikes. The practical ratchet quick-release fasteners on the holding arms and bicycle rails make securing heavy e-bikes effortless.

The BASIC model offers an alternative to rear wall carriers. The carrier is simply mounted onto the chassis using fastening elements. Thanks to the low loading height, bicycles can be easily positioned on the load-carrier.

With the MIKRO II, SAWIKO’s classic model has been further developed. This allows you to transport up to four bicycles.

The LIGERO III stands out not only for its payload of up to 150 kilograms, but also for its elegant design. The versatile motorbike load-carrier is also telescopic up to a maximum of 821 mm. All carrier systems can be removed without tools.

SAWIKO accessories in the towbar segment

In the area of towbars, SAWIKO was also able to offer the right solutions at the Caravan Salon. The portfolio includes towbars for panel vans, heavy-duty couplings, as well as variable and modular systems. The universal trailers WHEELY and WHEELY Duo are highly versatile and suitable for transporting several bicycles, scooters, motorbikes or even quads. With the SAWIKO motorcycle loading aid, heavy motorbikes can be loaded more easily and safely. Thanks to its modular components, it is suitable for platform or box trailers, panel vans or pick-ups.
