Suspension systems for enhanced driving comfort
For selected commercial vehicles with AL-KO VT chassis, the full air suspension systems AIR PREMIUM X2 and AIR PREMIUM X4 are available. Both systems enable vehicle level adjustment depending on the configuration, but differ in terms of the suspended axles and their functions.
- AIR PREMIUM X2 is designed as a two-circuit full air suspension system for the rear axle or rear axles. The vehicle level can be raised or lowered at the rear axle, allowing adjustment to various driving scenarios.
- AIR PREMIUM X4 operates as a four-circuit full air suspension system on the front and rear axles. In addition to adjusting the vehicle level, the system also provides diagonal level compensation, offering additional options for positioning the vehicle.
By selectively increasing the vehicle level, additional ground clearance can be achieved as needed, for instance when negotiating ramps or gradients. The air suspension further supports driving comfort by absorbing road irregularities and shocks.
The variant available and retrofittable for a given vehicle depends on factors including the base vehicle, chassis, number of axles, axle loads, year of manufacture, and specific vehicle configuration, and must therefore be checked for each vehicle individually.
Practical accessories for vans: Spare wheel holder
A flat tyre on a commercially used commercial vehicle can lead to unexpected downtime. With the AL-KO VT spare wheel holder, a spare wheel can be stored space-efficiently at the rear of the chassis and remains easily accessible when needed. The spare wheel holder is intended for Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper and Peugeot Boxer as well as for 15- and 16-inch wheels. Whether retrofitting is possible for the respective vehicle must be checked based on the specific vehicle version or chassis number.
Prepared for different applications with mechanical steady legs
Whether sales vehicle or horse transporter: commercial vehicles must be reliably parked and stabilised for different applications.
Mechanical ClickFix steady legs stabilise suitable commercial vehicles during loading and unloading or while stationary. The prerequisites are an appropriate frame height, sufficient free installation space and a suitable supporting surface. Additional support may be required on soft ground.
