Global Procurement
Long-term partnerships with AL-KO VT
The central procurement department of the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group manages procurement activities across our international locations. We work with suppliers who share our high standards for quality, reliability and sustainable cooperation. In return, we offer long-term partnerships with excellent development and growth opportunities.
Compliance in procurement
Compliance as the foundation of our procurement
Procurement is subject to particular requirements and risks from a compliance perspective. To minimise these risks, transparent processes are required. Potential breaches of the law must be prevented, fair competition must be ensured and the supplier base must be reviewed regularly.
Compliance with statutory requirements, transparency and fair competition are essential elements of our day-to-day operations. This also helps us safeguard the long-term success of our company.
For this reason, we set high standards for ourselves as well as our suppliers:
- Fair competition
- Combating corruption
- Data protection
- Environmental protection
- Occupational health and safety
- Compliance with laws
- Avoidance of conflicts of interest
- Protection of assets and information
Process-oriented procurement
Our principles
To maintain and strengthen our company's market position in the long term, process-oriented procurement at AL-KO VT plays a vital role. Procurement of production materials, commercial goods, capital goods, services and indirect requirements takes place through a global procurement network. We hold our suppliers to high standards and, in return, offer partnership-based business relationships with opportunities for growth and development.
Targeted procurement
The objective is clear: our aim is to ensure a cost-efficient supply to all AL-KO VT production sites worldwide while maintaining high quality standards. In selecting the right suppliers, it is important to understand the cost structures throughout the entire supply chain. Only with sufficient cost transparency can we assess which suppliers are able to meet the target costs. This requires suppliers to provide transparent information about their cost drivers. The aim is not to question the supplier's profit, but rather to identify cost drivers on both sides throughout the entire value chain. Our objective is to supply our global production sites cost-efficiently while maintaining consistently high quality standards. Together, we identify cost drivers within the value chain that we can influence and develop measures to reduce them. We see this as the foundation for long-term partnerships and their ongoing development.
