Then check the weight of the load, the rear axle load and the permissible gross weight. The chassis, frame extension and approval by the body manufacturer must also be compatible with the carrier system. The permissible load on the vehicle may therefore be lower than the maximum payload of the carrier.

    Add up the weight of the two-wheelers and any accessories you wish to take with you. The maximum payload of the rear carrier must not be exceeded. You must also consider the remaining rear axle load, the permissible gross mass, and the vehicle approval. Due to the rear overhang, the actually permitted load may be lower than the stated payload of the carrier.
