Secure caravan stance with AL-KO

AL-KO supports for a secure caravan stance

Once you have reached your destination at the end of your caravan journey, it's time to find a pitch. Whether on a hard caravan park or soft camping ground, AL-KO supporting systems guarantee absolute stability when parking. They prevent the caravan from slipping or even sinking.

You should also take precautions against potential damage on the journey. Caravan supports are not a substitute for a jack, because they could significantly damage the chassis of your caravan if misused. For this reason, jacks and spare wheels are part of the basic equipment for a successful caravan trip.

AL-KO UP4: Parking with electric caravan supports

The UP4 electric support system from AL-KO offers maximum comfort. No bending down and no cranking: simply raise your supports by remote control and precisely adjust them! The system is suitable for caravans up to 2,500 kilograms with AL-KO chassis and can be combined with the AL-KO RANGER manoeuvring aid. Features:

  • Hot-dip galvanized, corrosion-protected metal parts
  • Plastic cover to protect the electric drive
  • The big foot™ steady legs from AL-KO are already mounted.
  • Built-in anti-theft lock

Mechanical AL-KO supports – can be retrofitted on older chassis

The mechanical corner steadies can be extended and aligned using a crank. They can be retrofitted to any AL-KO chassis manufactured 1989 or later. This may also be possible under certain circumstances with older models or other manufacturers — the specialist workshop can advise you on this.

The AL-KO corner steady comes in two variants: The short "Stabilform" with a load capacity of up to 1,000 kilograms, and the longer "Premium" version with a load capacity of up to 1,250 kilograms.

These corner steadies stand out for the following features:

  • Easy and fast assembly
  • Strong pressed sections and beaded side bracings for stability and resilience
  • The hot-dip galvanised crank supports are robust and corrosion-resistant

For even more functionality, the corner steadies can be supplemented as needed, for example with different cranks or the Comfort Kit for easier operation. The Safety Compact safety lock prevents unauthorised persons from cranking up the supports – so the crank support acts as an immobiliser as well.

AL-KO big foot™ for the perfect stand

No more makeshift solutions, because the big foot™steady legs can be easily retrofitted to the crank supports. They increase the standing area to 200 x 180 millimetres and can take a weight of up to 1,250 kg. Your caravan thus stands firm even on soft surfaces such as sand or snow and does not sink in.

The size of the AL-KO big foot™ is no obstacle when driving: When the caravan supports are folded in, the steady leg fits snugly against the lower base.

AL-KO spare wheel holder: the space-saving solution for caravans

If you take your attention from the road for a moment, a defective tyre can quickly become a problem. The spare wheel holder from AL-KO means you always have the solution on board, cleverly kept in a space-saving way on a holder under the trailer.

The spare wheel carrier from AL-KO has a low weight and can be mounted directly under the axle of the AL-KO chassis. Another advantage of its clever positioning: the holder also lowers the chassis’ centre of gravity and thus improves the driving response.

Tip: If you need your spare part, make sure to remove the wheel from the side facing away from the road! This significantly minimises the risk of accidents.

Jack for comfortable wheel change and repairs

For wheel changes and repairs to the chassis, use a jack – ideally one designed specifically for lifting AL-KO chassis. Because these chassis have an adapted jacking position to optimally distribute the forces acting on the chassis and prevent damage.

The mechanical jacks are suitable for trailers with a gross weight of up to 2,000 kilograms. The hydraulic model can carry a weight of up to 3,000 kilograms.

Overrun device protection thanks to AL-KO weather protection

Adverse weather conditions can leave marks on your vehicle, permanently damage the functioning of components and reduce service life in the long term. In particular, the overrun device is exposed to weather and temperature fluctuations and should be urgently protected when parked for long periods.

The AL-KO weather protection consists of dirt- and water-repellent fabric and therefore keeps moisture away from the components. The fabric can also be attached quickly and easily to the overrun device.
