Motorhome supports from AL-KO VT
Hydraulic and mechanical support systems for motorhomes
Stable parking – even on challenging pitches
A stable parking position is the basis for relaxed journeys with your motorhome. Not every pitch is level or paved. Soft ground, gravel or minor slopes can impair onboard comfort.
Levelling support systems from AL-KO VT reliably stabilise your vehicle, align it horizontally and reduce unwanted movement. Depending on vehicle type, weight and comfort requirements, you can choose from hydraulic and mechanical solutions. They provide a stable, secure feel – from a brief stopover to a longer stay.
Levelling supports for motorhomes at a glance
Which support system is suitable for my motorhome?
The right choice of system depends on the vehicle type, permissible gross weight and the level of operating convenience desired. Hydraulic levelling supports automatically level the motorhome. Mechanical supports are operated by hand crank and reliably stabilise the vehicle.
- HY4: for light to medium-sized motorhomes based on Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Boxer/Jumper, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, VW Crafter or MAN TGE; for vehicles up to 6 t permissible gross weight; fully automatic levelling with four decentralised pump units.
- HY2: for vehicles up to 6 t permissible gross weight; cost-effective alternative to HY4 with only two supports; ideal for beginners in the world of hydraulic systems. This system weighs just 34 kg and can be upgraded to HY4 at a later date.
- LevelM Pro: for light to medium-sized motorhomes based on Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit or Iveco Daily; for vehicles up to 6 t permissible gross weight; ideal when low system weight, quiet operation and gentle levelling are important.
- LevelM Pro 4x4: the off-road solution for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 4x4 Van Chassis up to 4.25 t permissible gross weight. The system offers a minimum ground clearance of 280 mm.
- LevelM: the first choice for heavy or specialist motorhomes. The system covers numerous vehicle classes from 3.5 to 22 t permissible gross weight.
- ClickFix: suitable if you wish to stabilise your motorhome economically and without hydraulics. A prerequisite is an AL-KO VT chassis or a suitable frame extension.
Have the support system checked before installation
Vehicle data determines compatibility
The weight class alone is not sufficient for selection. Chassis, year of manufacture, wheelbase, drive type, existing attachments and the available installation space must also be suitable.
An AL-KO VT Customer Centre or authorised partner will check the installation situation and recommend an approved configuration. The system can also be professionally installed there.
Frequently asked questions on support systems for motorhomes
Hydraulic levelling support systems automatically or semi-automatically level the motorhome and offer a high degree of operating comfort. Mechanical supports are operated manually using a hand crank and are primarily used for stabilisation on solid ground. Which solution is more suitable depends on the vehicle type, your comfort requirements and the intended use.
Hydraulic levelling support systems compensate for uneven surfaces and slopes accurately. Mechanical supports stabilise the vehicle but are not primarily designed for fully automatic levelling.
Hydraulic levelling support systems are designed to affect ground clearance as little as possible during driving. Special systems such as the off-road variant LevelM Pro 4x4 are even specifically designed for high ground clearance. Mechanical supports are fully folded up for travel, providing sufficient distance to the ground.
HY2 is suitable if you want to hydraulically support the front or rear axle and save weight. For fully automatic horizontal alignment, you need a system with four supports, such as HY4, LevelM Pro or LevelM.
Many hydraulic and mechanical support systems can be retrofitted. What is important is vehicle approval, chassis, permissible gross weight and available mounting points. Please check these requirements before ordering.
Modern hydraulic levelling support systems are generally low-maintenance and designed for long-term use. Mechanical supports feature simple technology and also require only minimal maintenance.
LevelM is designed for higher weight classes and a wide range of vehicle types. The current product configuration covers up to 22 t permissible gross weight. An expert workshop must confirm the specific vehicle approval and installation situation.
LevelM Pro 4x4 is designed for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 4x4 Van Chassis up to 4.25 t. For other Sprinter versions, HY4, LevelM Pro or LevelM may be suitable depending on the chassis. The exact variant depends on vehicle configuration and available installation space.
That depends on the model. HY4 weighs around 68 kg, LevelM Pro and LevelM Pro 4x4 from 56 kg, LevelM from 60 kg, and HY2 around 34 kg. In addition, there may be vehicle-specific mounting parts and accessories.
