Motorhome supports from AL-KO VT

Hydraulic and mechanical support systems for motorhomes

Stable parking – even on challenging pitches

A stable parking position is the basis for relaxed journeys with your motorhome. Not every pitch is level or paved. Soft ground, gravel or minor slopes can impair onboard comfort.

Levelling support systems from AL-KO VT reliably stabilise your vehicle, align it horizontally and reduce unwanted movement. Depending on vehicle type, weight and comfort requirements, you can choose from hydraulic and mechanical solutions. They provide a stable, secure feel – from a brief stopover to a longer stay.

    Hydraulic levelling supports for motorhomes

Automatically horizontal at the touch of a button

Hydraulic support systems level the motorhome quickly, precisely and without physical effort. After parking the vehicle, the supports are conveniently extended via the control element. Sensors detect the vehicle position, while the control system compensates for uneven ground or slopes and distributes the weight as evenly as possible across the individual supports.
The result is a stable, horizontal position of the motorhome with significantly reduced rocking and swaying movements. This noticeably increases comfort, for example when sleeping, cooking or moving inside the vehicle. Doors, drawers and household appliances can also be used more reliably in a level position.

HY4: Four supports with decentralised pump units

HY4 automatically levels approved motorhomes up to 6 t within about a minute. Each of the four supports has its own pump unit on the chassis. This eliminates the need for long hydraulic lines and hydraulic components inside the living area.

The system is available for vehicles with AL-KO VT chassis as well as selected models based on Ducato, Jumper, Boxer, and Sprinter. With the optional 2LINK Box, HY4 can be operated via app. In addition, the vehicle’s total weight and axle loads can be measured. If you change vehicle, the HY4 can generally be transferred, provided the new vehicle is compatible.

Suitable for: fully automatic levelling up to 6 t, space-saving installation, later vehicle change

HY2: Two supports for a hydraulic entry

HY2 is suitable for motorhomes up to 6 t when stable parking is more important than complete four-point levelling. Two hydraulic supports are automatically extended at the front or rear axle. The position can then be adjusted manually and saved to a memory slot.

At approximately 34 kg, HY2 makes comparatively little impact on the remaining payload. If your requirements later increase, the system can be upgraded to HY4.

Suitable for: budget-friendly solution, limited payload, later upgrade to four supports

LevelM Pro: Lightweight, quiet, and exceptionally gentle

LevelM Pro levels light to medium motorhomes up to 6 t fully automatically. The system weighs from 56 kg and uses two independent brushless motors for quiet, precise levelling with reduced load on the chassis.

Two individual positions, e.g. for sleeping or cooking, can be additionally stored. A load-weighing function for axle load and total weight is available. LevelM Pro requires an approved base vehicle. Final compatibility must be confirmed before ordering.

Suitable for: high comfort, low noise emissions, lowest possible system weight, with weighing function.

LevelM Pro 4x4: For off-road vehicles

LevelM Pro 4x4 is available exclusively for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 4x4 Van Chassis up to 4.25 t. Extra-long hydraulic cylinders provide a minimum ground clearance of 280 mm, keeping the vehicle off-road capable even away from paved pitches.

This 56 kg system levels fully automatically and stores up to three individual positions. A weighing function is optionally available.

Suitable for: Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 4x4 Van Chassis, off-road travel, high ground clearance

LevelM: For heavy and specialist motorhomes

LevelM is designed for many vehicle types and high weight classes up to 22 t. Four hydraulic cylinders automatically level the motorhome. Additionally, an individual position can be stored for sleeping comfort or tank draining.

The system can be adapted to different installation conditions. It is also suitable for vehicles with two- or four-line full air suspension. The air bellows can be automatically lowered before levelling.

Suitable for: heavy motorhomes, special vehicle configurations, vehicles with full air suspension

    Mechanical levelling supports for motorhomes

    Simple, robust and reliable

Mechanical levelling supports are a proven solution for reliably stabilising a motorhome on a pitch. They are manually extended using a hand crank and are particularly suitable for travellers who value straightforward technology, easy operation and low maintenance. Since neither hydraulics nor electronics are required, the supports work independently of the onboard power supply.

On solid or slightly uneven surfaces like asphalt, gravel or grass, mechanical levelling supports significantly reduce rocking and swaying. As a result, the motorhome remains steadier when occupants move, sleep or cook inside. The supports are primarily designed for stabilisation. Greater height differences or slopes are usually compensated for with wheel chocks.

The AL-KO VT ClickFix levelling supports are made from lightweight yet robust aluminium. They are easy to operate and lock securely in position for travel. An integrated self-swing mechanism provides extra protection: if you accidentally drive off with the supports extended, they can fold away to the front or rear, reducing the risk of damage to the vehicle and the support system.

Have the support system checked before installation

    Vehicle data determines compatibility

The weight class alone is not sufficient for selection. Chassis, year of manufacture, wheelbase, drive type, existing attachments and the available installation space must also be suitable.

An AL-KO VT Customer Centre or authorised partner will check the installation situation and recommend an approved configuration. The system can also be professionally installed there.

Frequently asked questions on support systems for motorhomes

Hydraulic levelling support systems automatically or semi-automatically level the motorhome and offer a high degree of operating comfort. Mechanical supports are operated manually using a hand crank and are primarily used for stabilisation on solid ground. Which solution is more suitable depends on the vehicle type, your comfort requirements and the intended use.

Hydraulic levelling support systems compensate for uneven surfaces and slopes accurately. Mechanical supports stabilise the vehicle but are not primarily designed for fully automatic levelling.

Hydraulic levelling support systems are designed to affect ground clearance as little as possible during driving. Special systems such as the off-road variant LevelM Pro 4x4 are even specifically designed for high ground clearance. Mechanical supports are fully folded up for travel, providing sufficient distance to the ground.

HY2 is suitable if you want to hydraulically support the front or rear axle and save weight. For fully automatic horizontal alignment, you need a system with four supports, such as HY4, LevelM Pro or LevelM.

Many hydraulic and mechanical support systems can be retrofitted. What is important is vehicle approval, chassis, permissible gross weight and available mounting points. Please check these requirements before ordering.

Modern hydraulic levelling support systems are generally low-maintenance and designed for long-term use. Mechanical supports feature simple technology and also require only minimal maintenance.

LevelM is designed for higher weight classes and a wide range of vehicle types. The current product configuration covers up to 22 t permissible gross weight. An expert workshop must confirm the specific vehicle approval and installation situation.

LevelM Pro 4x4 is designed for the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter VS30 4x4 Van Chassis up to 4.25 t. For other Sprinter versions, HY4, LevelM Pro or LevelM may be suitable depending on the chassis. The exact variant depends on vehicle configuration and available installation space.

That depends on the model. HY4 weighs around 68 kg, LevelM Pro and LevelM Pro 4x4 from 56 kg, LevelM from 60 kg, and HY2 around 34 kg. In addition, there may be vehicle-specific mounting parts and accessories.
