Beverley Leisure Homes, based in Beverley/Yorkshire in the United Kingdom, has 30 employees and specialises in high-quality holiday homes that are quick and easy to set up. The company offers both luxury models and more affordable standard solutions. Customers can choose from a wide range of layouts, sizes and fittings, or request their own tailored designs—from the room layout to the interior décor.

AL-KO has been supplying chassis for Beverley Leisure Homes since 2017. When David Hall, CEO of Beverley Leisure Homes, started his first company offering high-quality, bespoke holiday homes, the market was highly competitive. The AL-KO VT chassis formed the foundation for these homes and provided mobility, stability, and precise alignment. In 2019, David Hall founded a second business focusing on standardised and more affordable holiday homes, eventually merging both companies to form Beverley Leisure Homes in 2021. Today, the company combines the flexibility of bespoke design with the benefits of standardised production. In the meantime, around 600 Beverley Leisure Homes are now stably supported on AL-KO VT chassis.

AL-KO VT adapts the chassis to the different size requirements of Beverley Leisure Homes’ holiday homes. The smaller models are around eleven metres long and three to four metres wide, while the larger homes reach up to 20 metres in length and seven metres in width. The latter are delivered to their destination in two parts. For this, AL-KO VT supplies appropriately dividable chassis so that both halves can be securely transported and assembled seamlessly on site.

When the homes are sited, it is beneficial that dimensional tolerances at AL-KO VT are minimal and the same high standards apply to all units. This ensures the homes can be precisely aligned on their concrete foundations.“The right foundation and exact positioning are critical to ensure doors and windows work perfectly,” explains David Hall. Such care guarantees years of reliable use of the homes.

“Our chassis are fully galvanised, which makes them especially resistant to corrosion and environmental factors. This high-quality material guarantees that holiday homes from Beverley Leisure Homes remain stable for decades, even under demanding conditions,” says Jonathan Chapman, Sales Director at the AL-KO VT branch in the United Kingdom.

An example of how AL-KO VT helps to meet individual requirements is the adaption of window positions for specific plots: "Some parks offer pitches with special views, and customers want their windows to capture those vistas. Thanks to AL-KO VT, we are able to respond to such requests with flexibility," says Trudy Youngs, Director of Operations at Beverley Leisure Homes. "AL-KO can quickly adapt the chassis design to suit, without slowing down the production process."

The flexibility of AL-KO VT chassis is partly due to the different joining techniques. In addition to welded connections, which are fixed and less adaptable, AL-KO VT also offers bolted chassis. Welded joints are often less flexible and require complex interventions for structural changes, while bolted connections can be released and modified much more easily.

The fast production process at AL-KO VT is crucial for Beverley Leisure Homes’ business: "It's essential for us to have a quick turnaround. AL-KO can fully design and deliver the chassis in less than two weeks. This gives us the possibility to bring a tailored holiday home from concept to final installation on the market within six to seven weeks," says David Hall. "Thanks to AL-KO’s rapid response time, we do not need to keep large stocks, which would otherwise pose a high financial risk for us," explains the Beverley Leisure Homes CEO.
