Review: Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2021
The camping sector is booming: Even in this extraordinary year, the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2021 lived up to its status as the world’s largest exhibition in the caravan industry and closed with a remarkable number of visitors: 185,000 visitors used the ten trade fair days to learn about innovations and accessories for their dream caravan.
High footfall at the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group stand
The high number of visitors also brought a large influx to the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group stand. “We presented ourselves as a high-performing company with pioneering technology and service expertise, setting new standards in customer orientation and radiating energy. Our exhibition stand was an attractive communication hub for customers and the industry alike. We are delighted by the high level of interest in the chassis and accessory innovations of our brands – AL-KO VT, E&P, SAWIKO as well as Nordelettronica and CBE,” summarises Dr Timo Schwickart, Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group, on the trade fair’s success.
In the area of levelling support systems, the intelligent control electronics by E&P impressed visitors. Levelling a motorhome with the levelM hydraulic levelling system is simple, fast and fully automatic. The E&P levelling system levelC aligns the caravan at the push of a button in a maximum of 120 seconds. Nordelettronica presented its product line for electronic devices such as battery chargers and control displays at the stand. CBE introduced its new CL-BUS SYSTEM at Caravan Salon, offering improved connectivity and maximum freedom for the motorhome. In addition, the AL-KO VT brand Aguti showcased its innovative bench seat at the stand. Thanks to individually and continuously adjustable backrests and seatbelt buckles that disappear under the bench, maximum (sleeping) comfort is guaranteed.
SAWIKO – Premium accessories for recreational vehicles
The KAWA II platform carrier features a versatile platform design and can be easily adapted to suit individual requirements. This enables trouble-free transport of scooters, up to three bicycles, or e-bikes.
The VARIO bicycle and scooter carrier impresses with its low unladen weight of around 29 kilograms and a payload of up to 150 kilograms. It also offers an adjustable loading depth, and can be folded up compactly in just a few steps.
SAWIKO developed the VELO III especially for e-bikes. The practical ratchet quick-release fasteners on the support arms and bike rails make securing heavy e-bikes effortless.
The BASIC model provides an alternative to rear wall carriers. The carrier is simply mounted onto the chassis using attachment elements. Thanks to the low loading height, bicycles can be placed effortlessly onto the carrier.
With MIKRO II, SAWIKO has further developed a classic. It allows you to transport up to four bicycles.
LIGERO III impresses not only with its payload of up to 150 kilograms, but also with its elegant design. Additionally, the variable motorbike carrier can be extended telescopically to a maximum of 821 mm. All carrier systems can be removed without tools.
SAWIKO accessories for towbars
SAWIKO was also able to present suitable solutions for the area of towbars at Caravan Salon. The portfolio includes towbars for panel vans, heavy-duty towbars, variable and modular systems. The universal trailers WHEELY and WHEELY Duo are versatile and suitable for transporting several bicycles, scooters, motorbikes, or even quads. With the help of the motorbike loading aid from SAWIKO, even heavy motorbikes can be loaded more easily and safely. Thanks to its individual components, it is suitable for platform or box trailers, panel vans or pick-ups.
