Let's take a look back: In 1967, AL-KO VT developed the hexagonal rubber suspension axle, providing greater driving comfort and safety for 50 years. To date, the axle specialists have produced around 27 million axles at twelve locations on five continents — as well as rubber suspension axles, also torsion bar axles.
At peak times, more than 2,000 axles are produced per day at the main Kötz plant alone. Of these, around 8% of all delivered axles are high-quality standard versions, while the remaining 92% are bespoke special solutions.
Thus, in 2016/2017, AL-KO VT met special customer requirements with around 12,000 individual axle variants, thanks to a flexible modular system. Gentle and safe transport with the hexagonal rubber suspension axle
Largest suspension travel and best inherent damping compared to all rubber suspension axles, a suspension softness similar to that of the automotive industry, and precise suspension thanks to independent wheel suspension.
The AL-KO VT hexagonal rubber suspension sets the standard for driving comfort and safety in trailers. The unique combination of a hexagonal outer tube and a triangular inner tube gives the rubber inside room to work. Moreover, it is currently the lightest axle variant on the market. This until today unrivalled and continually optimised technology enables you to transport goods and animals in an extremely gentle and stress-free manner.
Perfect cornering with the Euro Delta trailing arm axle
The Euro Delta trailing arm axle also relies on the advantages of hexagonal rubber suspension. The additional 
highlight: thanks to toe-in adjustment, the axle system counteracts centrifugal force when cornering. As the name suggests, the axle is set at an angle so that the wheels, each suspended on a so-called trailing arm, can move around the axle when compressing and rebounding. This means the force acting on the wheel on the outside of the curve is transferred via the trailing arm to the axle stub of the wheel, which braces itself against the centrifugal force and thus supports the vehicle from the inside.
Always the right level with lowering axles
Convenient loading and unloading or direct contact with customers, lowering axles significantly simplify your work processes. Thanks to the installation of hydraulic cylinders, you can easily lower or tilt your trailer to the desired level. AL-KO VT offers you three variants. If you only need a little help during loading, lowering by just 140 millimetres is often sufficient. For an almost ground-level lowering, for example during a sales conversation, we recommend greater lowering ranges of 210 or 270 millimetres.

You will find vehicles with AL-KO VT axles in use almost everywhere — on ski slopes, markets, campsites, exhibitions, or in everyday traffic. But what accounts for this enormous range? It is the ability to respond to individual customer wishes as flexibly as no other.
