Always striving for maximum comfort for you, manufacturers of motorhomes and caravans, as well as accessory specialists, are constantly developing more user-friendly vehicles and products.
That means: Comfort 4.0, and that even in a smart way! How? With accessories that are incredibly easy to use – a simple press of a button or by smartphone app. Leading industry experts presented which smart technologies are available on the market and what you can expect in 2017 at the “Reise + Camping” holiday fair in Essen. Featured were motorhome manufacturers Frankia and Fendt-Caravan, as well as accessory experts AL-KO, SAWIKO, Alden and Thitronik.

AL-KO VT relies on Quality for Life
Comfort – that's what the AL-KO VT brand has always stood for. This also applies to the three new products presented by the vehicle technology specialist in Essen.
The fully automatic hydraulic HY4 support system, for example, levels the motorhome at the touch of a button, guaranteeing a safe, stable position for the vehicle during your camping stay. With comfort functions that are partly freely and individually programmable – for example, tilting the vehicle sideways for emptying the tank or adjusting your preferred sleeping position at any parking spot by aligning the motorhome accordingly – the AL-KO VT HY4 can be tailored to any vehicle, and therefore optimally to your own wishes.
The system is operated easily and intuitively via a wired remote control with modern LED technology. The same applies to the Mammut caravan manoeuvring system and to the Ranger manoeuvring system from AL-KO VT.
Convenient loading with SAWIKO's loading systems
Double mobility with scooter and co.
The loading systems from SAWIKO are also easy to operate. Light, space-saving, convenient – these three words best describe the electric rear garage loading system Trineo. In the rear garage of the motorhome, only the guide rail with the electric motor and the front wheel sled are installed. Incidentally, the front wheel sled can be removed without much effort, providing even more space in the rear garage when the loading system is not in use.
The Trineo offers a payload of 150 kg, making it suitable for most scooter models. Heavier bikes, on the other hand, are best transported with a trailer. The Wheely from SAWIKO is the ideal solution – its clever modular system guarantees maximum flexibility. For loading the motorbike, the loading device is docked and the bike is pulled onto the loading area effortlessly by means of the electric cable winch and remote control (alternatively, a manual cable winch can also be used). The system is so simple and safe that it can even be operated by a single person.
Smart alarm systems for caravan and motorhome from Thitronik
No chance for thieves
Easy handling is a hallmark of the WiPro III radio alarm systems for motorhomes and C.A.S.-III for caravans. Thitronik has developed both alarm systems especially for recreational vehicles.
The systems are operated via the vehicle's remote control key or the supplied remote control. When combined with Thitronik tracking systems, it's not only possible to control the alarm systems by mobile phone, but also to precisely locate a stolen vehicle via GPS and receive a phone alert in case of an emergency. Thanks to wireless sensors, there is no wiring required for the sensors, which significantly reduces the installation effort usually needed for conventional alarm systems.
In addition, the vehicle occupants can move about freely inside the vehicle even when the alarm system is activated.
Smart solution from Alden for TV and SAT
ONE Touch Easy
“ONE Touch Easy” – the product name says it all: Setting up and operating an automatic satellite or TV system can be so simple. With the ONE Touch Easy control button, the complete SAT/TV system from Alden can be operated with just a single press. ONE Touch Easy switches on the entire SAT/TV system and starts the search for the desired satellite with just one press; another press switches the system off and retracts the satellite antenna.
This intelligent control unit can be mounted anywhere in the vehicle, independently of all other technical devices, and a clearly visible green LED ring signals that it is in operation. This means operating errors are virtually impossible.
