    New member for the management board of the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group.

    On 1st September 2020, Markus Siegner (51) has been appointed as new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group. In his new role, he takes over the global leadership of all operative businesses of the company, which stands for high-quality chassis and chassis components for trailers, leisure and commercial vehicles. His responsibilities include the management, control and organization of the entire operative company processes in the areas of production, quality, logistics and purchasing.

    The SAWIKO success story began with four people in Hunteburg, in the district of Osnabrück, in 1995. What was the company’s founding vision?
    Uwe Samland, Ralf Winter and I were already passionate campers at that time and so we knew the needs on the market for leisure vehicle accessories, towbars and load carrier systems. So in 1995 we decided to start our own business with the SAWIKO company.

    AL-KO Vehicle Technology opens Benelux Customer Centre

    European customer centre network grows to six sites

    The technology group AL-KO Vehicle Technology is opening a customer centre in Nieuw-Vennep in the Netherlands at the beginning of June 2020. The company is thus expanding its European network of customer centres to a total of six sites. The new customer centre is located on a 1,600 square metre site 35 kilometres south of Amsterdam. In addition to the workshop and a showroom, it also includes three camp sites with electricity outside.

The German Caravanning Institute and the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group pursued this question and polled 500 owners of recreation vehicles in an online survey. The aim of the survey was to obtain a picture of the current mood.

    AL-KO HY2 makes supporting a motorhome automatically on the axle effortless. Like the tried and tested, fully automatic HY4 levelling support system, the ‘little brother’ also impresses with perfect vehicle support, maximum operating safety and anti-theft protection. At the same time, the AL-KO HY2 has a significantly lower weight and represents a cost-effective alternative to the system with four steady legs. Retrofitting to HY4 is possible without any problems. AL-KO will present the new HY2 for the first time at CMT Stuttgart in January 2020.
