DexKo Global Acquires TCM Projects B.V.

DexKo Global Inc. (“DexKo”), a global leader in highly engineered trailer running gear, chassis assemblies, related components, as well as hydraulic applications, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire TCM Projects B.V. (“TCM”), a distributor of levelling systems and suspensions for the Scandinavian market.

TCM is located in Wapse, Drenthe/The Netherlands, and in Skene/Sweden. The family owned company is a distributor of hydraulic levelling systems and air suspensions. The current owner Miro de Jong will retain his key role and bring his team of four with him. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions.

European customer center network to grow to eight

Following the acquisition, AL-KO Vehicle Technology (“AL-KO VT”), a business unit of DexKo, plans to expand TCM’s existing service center into a fully equipped AL-KO VT customer center in Skene near Gothenburg, Sweden. This expansion will extend its European network of customer centers to a total of eight sites.

“The acquisition of the company and the new customer center allow us to widen our service offering for the whole of Scandinavia,” says Fred Bentley, President and CEO at DexKo. Harald Hiller, President and CEO of AL-KO VT, explains: “This is perfectly in line with our ambitious plans to expand our aftermarket business across Europe for closer customer proximity. AL-KO VT already has customer centers in Italy, France, Austria, and Benelux as well as at three sites in Germany.”

“My team and I are very much looking forward to becoming part of the DexKo family,” says Miro de Jong. “We will combine our sales efforts especially in the area of levelling systems and will from now on offer our customers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services from a single source with one-stop shopping for LevelM, LevelC and HY4.”

In the long run the customer center will sell and fit products of the group brands AL-KO, E&P und SAWIKO, including towbars, bicycle and motorbike carriers, levelling systems, air suspensions, manoeuvring aids and anti-snaking systems. The customer center will also offer caravan payload increase modifications as well as the classic service and repair work on chassis and braking systems.
