    CarryNex chassis solutions

    With CarryNex, AL-KO VT offers modular chassis solutions for new transport concepts. The three lightweight variants are designed for different applications in short-distance transport and logistics. The modular concept enables application-specific adaptations.

    CarryNex chassis solutions

    The modular chassis concept and flexible production enable customer-specific adaptations. The two-wheel version is available for speeds of up to 25 or 60 km/h. The four-wheel version offers a higher payload and a steering axle for greater manoeuvrability. All models are equipped with a parking brake and an overrun brake.

    The axle influences the payload, driving behaviour and structural design of a trailer. AL-KO VT offers axle solutions for different weight classes, trailer types and requirements – from car trailers to professional transport applications.

    AL-KO VT offers car trailer axles for various weight classes and requirements. The range includes braked and unbraked standard axles as well as tandem, tridem, and special solutions. Depending on the vehicle concept, there are various suspension types, installation dimensions, wheel connections, and brake configurations to choose from.

    ATC anti-snaking system

    AL-KO Trailer Control (ATC) supports the driving stability of the vehicle combination. The system detects critical snaking movements of the trailer and automatically applies the brakes if required.

    Coupling heads and stabiliser couplings

    Coupling heads provide the connection between the trailer and the towing vehicle. Stabiliser couplings additionally improve driving stability by reducing unwanted swaying and pitching movements.

    Towing connections

    Towing connections form the structural link between the trailer and the towing vehicle. Different versions for braked and unbraked trailers are available depending on the design and intended use.

    Chassis

    The chassis forms the technical basis of the trailer. AL-KO VT offers chassis solutions for different body types, dimensions, weight classes and applications, including options for special uses.

    Trailer chassis for bespoke vehicle concepts

    T-chassis are available as unbraked versions up to 750 kg, as well as braked and partially height-adjustable versions. Configurations are available for up to 3,500 kg permissible gross weight. For example, a variant with frame and 2,000 kg capacity is designed for closed bodies such as sales trailers. V-chassis cover a wide range. The low loader variants range from 750 kg for single-axle versions to 3,500 kg for tandem chassis. Depending on the version, these are suitable for transport of motorbikes, horse trailers, car transporters or closed bodies. High loaders for transport trailers are also available up to 3,500 kg.

    Jockey wheels

    Jockey wheels make it easier to park, hitch and manually manoeuvre the trailer. Important selection criteria include load capacity, trailer type, frequency of use and ground conditions.

    Which AL-KO VT product is right for my trailer?

    The right component does not depend solely on the trailer type. Before making your selection, check the vehicle’s technical data and the requirements of the relevant product group.

    Key selection criteria include:

    • Trailer type: car, utility, boat, horse, transport, construction or special trailers
    • Permissible gross weight: Many components are designed for defined weight ranges.
    • Braked or unbraked: This distinction is especially relevant for couplings, axles and towing connections.
    • Dimensions and design: Installation space, chassis, drawbar, tyres and existing components must work together.
    • Intended use: Transport, continuous commercial use or private leisure use have different requirements.
    • New build or retrofitting: Manufacturers have different selection criteria than owners looking to upgrade existing trailers.

    Before retrofitting, also check the specifications and approvals for the relevant product. For technical components, we recommend having the product selected and installed by a specialist workshop.
