Premium chassis for your Tiny House on wheels

Maximum flexibility with the Tiny House trailer from AL-KO

Minimalist living in the smallest of spaces is becoming increasingly popular in Germany too. Tiny Houses are, as the name suggests, small houses for life in a few square metres. This requires a special solution so that there really is room for all you need in day-to-day life within the four walls. Because of their small dimensions, many Tiny Houses are built as mobile variants. They stand on a chassis and can be driven from A to B with a suitable towing vehicle, similar to a caravan.

If you want to create a Tiny House on wheels entirely according to your preferences, you need a modular and reliable foundation. AL-KO Tech is a tried and tested manufacturer of chassis components in the caravan, motorhome and commercial vehicle sector. You can also find chassis for Tiny Houses with us. We draw on years of knowledge and experience to provide the best foundation for tiny homes. Our chassis are safe, stable, and manufactured to a high standard. Their hot-dip galvanisation makes them particularly durable and long-lasting.

Tiny House trailers from AL-KO can be used with a wide range of configurations from popular manufacturers and, thanks to their flexibility, are also suitable for DIY builders as well as service providers building bespoke Tiny Houses. Thanks to the modular frame concept, the AL-KO chassis for Tiny Houses makes different body lengths and customised configurations easily achievable. The high dimensional accuracy enables a precise fit. AL-KO uses a positive-locking connection point; flat round screws are used on the contact surface for the smallest possible interference contour. The chassis are delivered in assembled condition including mudguards, automatic jockey wheel and tyres. Depending on the model, our corner steadies are available in hollow or as heavy-duty supports, which safely stabilise the Tiny House. Additional AL-KO support systems that work optimally with the chassis can be fitted if required. The chassis lighting is also already integrated in accordance with German road traffic licensing regulations.

High-loader: Without disruptive wheel arches

AL-KO offers two chassis variants depending on the size of the planned Tiny House. Which one you choose ultimately depends on how big you want your Tiny House to be, how often you want to move it and how high you want the top edge of the frame to be on which the Tiny House is placed. High-loaders have the advantage that the contact surface is not interrupted by a wheel arch. This way you don't have to integrate it into your house and you have a little more space – which is definitely an advantage for a small house. In addition, the wheel arches do not have to be taken into account during construction. At AL-KO you can get the high-loader chassis as a 2- or 3-axle vehicle.

Low-loader offers more installation height for Tiny House trailers

A low-loader has a lower height and allows you to build higher on the chassis. The load’s lower low point has a positive impact on the driving response. So if you’re often on the road with your Tiny House, this chassis is worth considering. In addition, a structure such as a sleeping facility is easier to achieve on it. The disadvantage, of course, is that the wheel arches have to be included in the construction. AL-KO offers the low-loader as a 2-axle vehicle.

There are no limits on creativity

What you do with the AL-KO chassis for Tiny Houses is entirely up to you. The chassis are as flexible as possible so that you can achieve the house of your dreams with them. There are (almost) no limits to what you can do. However, you must of course bear in mind that in Germany your house, including the chassis, may not be higher than 4 metres or wider than 2.55 metres and may not weigh more than 3.5 tonnes.
