The AL-KO Elsdorf customer centre is a branch of E&P Hydraulics, the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group’s levelling systems specialist. While your camping vehicle is on the hydraulic ramp, you can use the modern lounge area to relax or catch up on work on your laptop during opening hours. The building is located in Elsdorf’s commercial district, where there are other businesses including a bakery. The area has all the facilities needed for everyday shopping.

Elsdorf in the Rhine-Erft district is known for its open-cast mining, which has shaped the surrounding landscape.The Terranova viewpoint is a great place to stop and look out over this fascinating expanse, as well as offering hiking and cycling trails. In addition, the Elsdorf customer centre is located just 30 kilometres west of Cologne, making city trip to the Rhine metropolis a fantastic getaway from here.

The Terranova viewpoint (Northern Edge Trail) allows you to appreciate the full extent and size of the open-cast mining in the region. The viewing point is located just under three kilometres from the customer centre and features a nearby restaurant that’s open Wednesday to Sunday.
The area on and around Sophienhöhe, a recultivated spoil heap, is ideal for hiking. This can be reached by bike or car from Elsdorf in just a few minutes. Koniks, a robust pony breed from Central and Eastern Europe, were introduced here in the summer of 2024.
If you would like to cycle along the open-cast mine, the former long-distance belt conveyor route between the former Bergheim open-cast mine and the Hambach open-cast mine (the largest open-cast mine in Europe) is ideal for cycling, inline skating and walking. The five-meter-wide, asphalted Terranova Speedway is part of the 14-kilometre circuit – dead straight and intersection-free.

Parking at the Elsdorf customer centre
There is a designated parking space for motorhomes directly in front of the site. The existing customer parking spaces even allow several motorhomes to stay overnight. Electricity is available.
Camping Liblarer See

For a longer stay, we recommend the Liblarer See campsite. This is just under 30 kilometres from the customer centre, located directly on a lake with a beach, with all the infrastructure you need, and is a wonderful starting point for hikes and bike tours in the surrounding area.
Elsdorf motorhome parking
The Elsdorf sports ground also offers two free, spacious parking spaces, but without any supply or disposal facilities. It is a five-minute walk to Elsdorf’s shopping street and three minutes to the supermarket and bakery. Pets allowed.
