BAUMA 2022: increased safety thanks to intelligent brake and trailer control
From 24 to 30 October 2022, AL-KO Vehicle Technology will be exhibiting along with its subsidiary SAFIM under the slogan “Performance. Setting the benchmark” at BAUMA in Munich, in Hall A3, Stands 407 and 409. The new acquisition Fluid-Press will introduce itself in Hall A4.502.
AL-KO Trailer Control for commercial trailers
AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group will present its AL-KO Trailer Control (ATC) for commercial trailers for the first time at the joint stand. Evasive manoeuvres, lane changes, ruts, overtaking and gusts of wind can cause trailers to rock. Keeping the vehicle combination under control then becomes increasingly risky. The ATC has been ensuring safe driving with leisure trailers since 2006, and now it can also handle commercial trailers with varying loads and gross weights.
SAFIM: Solutions for intelligent brake control
The subsidiary SAFIM from Italy supplies safe, precise and energyefficient components for hydraulic circuits, mainly for brake applications. They are used for heavy machinery and vehicles in agriculture and the building industry. At BAUMA, SAFIM will present its intelligent functional systems for autonomous braking under the slogan “Shaping the Future of Braking”. The full brake-by-wire brake systems offer hill-holding, speed control, traction control and collision avoidance.
Fluid-Press: Hydraulic valves and hydraulic integrated circuits
In the meantime, the acquisition of Fluid-Press has been completed. Fluid-Press was founded in 1971 and is based in Albinea, Reggio Emilia in Italy. At BAUMA, Fluid-Press will present its solutions for hydraulic valves and hydraulic integrated circuits (HICs) for agricultural machinery, industrial vehicles, cranes, hydraulic ramps and earthmoving machinery. Fluid-Press thus complements the hydraulics business of the group of companies and will work closely with SAFIM in the future.
