    Acquisition aimed to expand product portfolio and operations footprint and to give access to new adjacent end markets

    Novi, Michigan/USA, Kötz/DE, Staphorst/NL | DexKo Global Inc. (“DexKo”), a global leader in highly engineered trailer running gear, chassis assemblies and related components, has completed the acquisition of European towbar solutions specialist Brink International. This strategic acquisition enables its subsidiary AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group (“AL-KO”) to expand its product portfolio as well as its operations footprint and to give access to new adjacent end markets in order to continue the group’s strong growth trajectory.

  • With the AL-KO lightweight chassis, the Volkswagen Transporter reaches 3.5 t gross vehicle weight. This theoretically provides 300 kg more payload.

    The leading chassis and accessories specialist AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group will be presenting its solutions for municipal applications and platform vehicles at NUFAM in Karlsruhe from 30.9. to 3.10.2021.

    Kötz. Back again: The AL-KO chassis is now available again as a 2-axle version for the Volkswagen Transporter. Customers provide AL-KO with the original VW transporter chassis, which AL-KO converts into a cab and refines with the AL-KO chassis. This means that the tried-and-tested AL-KO chassis solution is once again available for VW vans and their fans. At NUFAM, AL-KO is presenting a corresponding solution with a body from Schoon Fahrzeugsysteme GmbH.

AL-KO Vehicle Technology’s lightweight concept for caravans offers a chassis solution that allows an increased payload thanks to its reduced weight. “With VARIO X, we have developed a chassis that is as innovative as it is robust and highly resilient with the usual and tested AL-KO quality and durability.

Now AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group has added an indispensable feature to its proven MAMMUT manoeuvring system: an innovative system that can determine the weight within five minutes with a tolerance of less than five percent.

    Kötz | Abadiano.  As part of its strategic focus on its core business – the development and production of high-quality chassis and suspension components for trailers, recreational vehicles, light commercial vehicles and new mobility solutions – the AL-KO Vehicle Technology Group (“AL-KO”) has announced the sale of its damping technology division to KW automotive GmbH (“KW”), based in Fichtenberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

    Kötz. In 2021 the Caravan Salon will be all about green caravanning. As far back as 2010 AL-KO Vehicle Technology was one of the first to present a hybrid vehicle at the Düsseldorf trade fair. As a major supplier to the caravanning industry, AL-KO strives for the manufacture and use of its components to make a significant contribution to CO2 reduction.
