    Motorhome platform celebrates its premiere at the Caravan Salon.

    Kötz – After presenting it as a concept study at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 in Hanover, AL-KO Vehicle Technology is now heralding the implementation phase for the Hybrid Power Chassis platform. In the second half of 2020, the first HPC® configurations for motorhomes with electrified rear axles and Fiat Ducato power heads are to be approved for selected customers for specific use.

    Trailers making dangerous swaying movements due to small evasive manoeuvres, side winds on bridges or wind pressure during overtaking can lead to critical situations. The AL-KO Trailer Control (ATC) anti-skid system for caravans and light commercial trailers, which has already been installed over 200,000 times throughout Europe, ensures smooth and even braking.

    An upgrade for the fully automatic levelling system AL-KO HY4 will be available in Europe from October 2019. The AL-KO HY4, featuring a weighing function and an app that can be used to control it, is available both as original equipment and as an aftermarket fit. This global innovation was presented for the first time at the Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2019.

    The AL-KO chassis for motorhomes is now available with the Fiat, Peugeot, Citroën, Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz Sprinter tractor heads (BM910). In addition to the extra tractor head variants, the BM910 is also available as a 2- or 3-axle version. The performance of the AL-KO lightweight chassis is particularly impressive due to its higher payload capacity, optimum driving dynamics and outstanding driving comfort. The result is a significant increase in safety.

    The new system offers flexible and stable use for bicycle carriers – Exclusively for special model Fendt Bianco Rosso 515 SG

    An innovative highlight for campers is the ‘world first’ from AL-KO Vehicle Technology: AL-KO Carryback, the first extendable ball coupling for caravans. This solution will initially be used exclusively by the manufacturer Fendt-Caravan in the special Fendt Bianco Rosso 515 SG model that has been specially designed for weight distribution. The highlight of the system: The carrier is mounted on the coupling head, where it is needed. Either at the rear of the caravan or on the towbar of the towing vehicle when the caravan is parked at the campsite.
