    The laborious effort required when using supports and wedges is a thing of the past: levelC, the new hydraulic levelling system for caravans from E&P Hydraulics makes levelling a caravan child’s play; so simple and convenient using a tablet and/or smartphone app that both have the same user interface. The modern operating concept is made future-proof by its capability to update both the user interface and functions. The small touchpad is provided with a fixed charging station in the caravan and is always ready for use.

    The tablet for the levelM motorhome levelling system from E&P Hydraulics is also a remote control - New smartphone app

    The newly revised hydraulic levelling system for motorhomes from E&P Hydraulics is now called levelM and offers users even more comfort. In the past the motorhome steady legs were controlled at the touch of a button; in future, this will be achieved simply and conveniently using a tablet and/or smartphone app, both of which have the same user interface. One advantage of the new, modern operating concept is that it can be updated in terms of user interface and functions. The small touchpad is provided with a fixed charging station in the motorhome.

    Further variants of the hydraulic support system will be available from April 2019

    The fully automatic AL-KO HY4 levelling system will also be available in Europe from April 2019 for the new model generation of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (VS 30). The initial release will be for the Sprinter models with the AL-KO chassis and SLC chassis. Following the development of successful solutions for the Fiat equipped with the AL-KO chassis, the Fiat original chassis and Fiat van, another variant of the system is now being launched on the market which will be presented for the first time at the CMT 2019 trade fair.

    Accessories specialist SAWIKO increases the number of variants on offer - Fiat van version available from March 2019

    Freshly introduced for Ford Westfalia Nugget and Ford Tourneo Custom in January 2018, SAWIKO now launches the AGITO Van version of the rear bicycle carrier for the Fiat Ducato van. The new product will celebrate its premier at the CMT 2019 trade fair in Stuttgart, where this AGITO Van variant will be presented to the public for the first time.

    Anti-spin system now also available for trailers - 2LINK connectivity system brings sensors into the trailer

    Which driver of car and trailer doesn't know this? Small evasive manoeuvres, cross winds on bridges or wind pressure during overtaking can quickly cause a trailer to lurch. AL-KO Vehicle Technology offers an effective solution for this: the AL-KO Trailer Control (ATC) anti-skid system, which quickly and gently brakes the lightweight trailer and puts it back on track. The emergency system has been proven in caravans for over 10 years and has now been installed almost 200,000 times throughout Europe. The ATC is already standard equipment for many caravan manufacturers.

    The intelligent combination of internal combustion engine and electric motor for overland tours and urban journeys

    The EU Parliament's Environment Committee is currently discussing a significant reduction in CO2 emissions from new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Manufacturers are to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions of their new car fleets by 45 percent by the year 2030 (measured from the base year 2021). In addition, a sales target of 40 percent of emission-free and low-emission cars - i.e. electric cars and plug-in hybrids - is to be achieved by 2030. AL-KO Vehicle Technology already has an intelligent solution proposal for this current requirement.

    AL-KO MAMMUT manoeuvring drive for mono and tandem axles up to a maximum of 3.0 tonnes

    Known and proven in the caravan sector for years, AL-KO Vehicle Technology is presenting its MAMMUT manoeuvring drive also for the use in commercial trailers at the 2018 IAA Commercial Vehicles. This technology with all functions and features of the award-winning, powerful system is offered exclusively as an OEM solution. The system will be available in both mono and tandem axle versions with a permissible total weight of up to 3.0 tonnes.

    DexKo Global Inc., a global leader in highly engineered trailer running gear, chassis assemblies and related components, is pleased to announce that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire CM Trailer Parts to expand its New Zealand operations. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

    CM Trailer Parts is a privately owned New Zealand business and leading supplier of caravan and trailer axles, leaf springs, couplings and other trailer components, serving multiple market segments across New Zealand since 1988.

    Swedish grocery home delivery service MatHem relies on the platform of ABT Sportsline and AL-KO Vehicle Technology

    The first electrically-operated refrigerated vehicle in the 3.5 tonne class in Scandinavia was put into operation by MatHem, Sweden's market leader in the home delivery service of foodstuffs. The platform of the new vehicle is the all-electric e-transporter eCab, developed jointly by AL-KO Vehicle Technology, specialist for chassis and chassis components, and the e-mobility expert ABT Sportsline. It is based on a Volkswagen T6 cab with a modified AL-KO lightweight chassis with fully integrated batteries.
